Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) began in September 2018 to test all schools for the presence of lead in school drinking water. The testing is being conducted to comply with a new state regulation requiring lead testing of drinking water outlets in all Maryland schools and not because of any concerns with drinking water in Howard County schools. The state regulations apply to all Maryland school systems.  Testing for Cradlerock has been completed and all fixtures sampled were all below the action level. Click here to read more.

We are excited to announce that the brothers of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity have partnered with Cradlerock Elementary to provide equitable opportunities for our students.  They have done this in a variety of ways, including: financial contributions that impact students’ well-being and academic success throughout the entire school year; volunteering to support school activities; and providing mentorship opportunities for many of our students.

This Wednesday, November 14th, fraternity members will be visiting Cradlerock to present a financial contribution to our school and join our students for lunch.  We continue to be appreciative of the generosity and support from the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and the positive impact they are having on our Cradlerock community.

The Free and Reduced-Priced Meals (FARMs) program is not just about free and reduced food for qualifying families- it provides access to an array of services for qualified families including free SAT and ACT registration, free tuition to take college courses at Howard Community College while still enrolled in high school, free college applications, reduced AP exam fees, reduced costs for a number of services provided by Howard County Rec and Parks, Columbia Association and Comcast, and much more. Visit the HCPSS website for more information and to apply.

Dental Clinic is on December 5th and 6th.  Follow up dates are June 5th and 6th. Consent forms need to be returned by November 14th.

This is a great program that is designed to provide care to all students. Preventative and restorative dental care is provided at school. Preventative care grants are available for students with no insurance. Parents do not need to be present. To have your child seen, please complete and return the consent form.
